Can you imagine how wonderful it would be if you
could live your life without ever being criticized by
anyone? Wouldn’t it be wonderful to feel totally at
ease, totally comfortable? You would get up in the
morning, and you would know you were going to
have a wonderful day, because everybody would
love you and nobody would criticize you or put you
down. You would feel just great.

You know what?

You can give this to yourself. You can make the
experience of living with you the most wonderful
experience imaginable. You can wake up in the
morning so thrilled to find yourself and feel the joy
of spending another day with you.

The above was written by Louise Hay in Heart
Thoughts: A Treasury of Inner Wisdom. There are
many beautiful expressions in that book. My friend
Reggie recently commented how one of Louise Hay’s
writings could be turned into an eft script.

This delicious idea of using eft to neutralize old beliefs and
install new beliefs. If I took the above writing and turned
it into an eft script, it might read like this:

I imagine how wonderful my life can be free of self criticism.

I am willing to release self-criticism one thought at a time.

I am willing to treat myself with compassion, respect and kindness.

I am open to knowing what it can feel like to be at ease
and totally comfortable with myself.

I can imagine the possibility that today is going to be a wonderful
day and my encounters with others will feel infused with mutual love
and respect for each other.

I am willing to make the experience of living with myself the most
wonderful experience imaginable.

I am willing to wake up in the morning so thrilled to feel the joy of spending
another day with my favorite person: me.

And finally:

eyebrow point: I am willing…
side of the eye: I am willing….
under the eye: I am willing….
under the nose: I am willing….
under the chin: I am willing….
collar bone: I am willing….
side of the body: I am willing….
top of the head: I am so willing!

I am neither too much nor too little. I do not have to prove
to anyone or anything who I am. I have come to know that
I am the perfect expression of the Oneness of Life. In the
Infinity of Life I have been many identities, each one a perfect
expression for that particular lifetime. I am content to be who
and what I am this time. I do not yearn to be like someone else
for that is not the expression I chose this time. Next time I will
be different. I am perfect as I am, right here and right now. I am
sufficient. I am one with all of Life. There is no need to struggle
to be better. All I need to do is to love myself more today than
yesterday and to treat myself as someone who is deeply loved.
As I am cherished by myself, I will blossom with a joy and beauty
that I can barely begin to comprehend. Love is the nourishment
that humans need to fulfill their greatness. As I learn to love
myself more, I learn to love everyone more. Together we lovingly
nourish an ever more beautiful world. We are all healed and the
planet is healed too. With joy I recognize my perfection and the
perfection of life. And so it is.

You know how Abraham has a deck of Well Being cards?
I loved the idea so much that I made up my own Well Being
cards.  I put them on brightly colored 3×5 cards and pull out
different ones as I am inspired.  Here’s the one that I chose
for tomorrow.  I love the feeling of flow and ease in this quote.

“As God in expression, you can relax, for this Universe is
a safe and loving place where life flows harmoniously the
instant you stop struggling to achieve harmony.”

A thought which says:

“I’m a bad person,’

produces a negative feeling.

However, if you do not have
such a thought, you will not
have the feeling.

Change the thought and the
feeling must go.

Affirmation:

I am now willing to see only
my magnificence.

I now choose to eliminate from
my mind and life every negative,
destructive, fearful idea and thought.
I no longer listen to or become part
of detrimental thoughts or conversations.
Today no one can harm me because I
refuse to believe in being hurt.  No matter
how justified it may seem to be, I refuse to
indulge in damaging emotions.  I rise above
anything that attempts to make me angry or
afraid.  Destructive thoughts have no power
over me.  Guilt does not change the past.

I think and say only what I want to have created
in my life.

I am more than adequate for all I need
to do.

I am one with the power that created me.

I am safe.

All is well in my world.

Louise Hay was asked in her movie what is the one word
she would like to see taken out of our vocabulary.  I thought
she might start talking about Abraham’s big but – but – she
did not.  She believes that ‘should’ is one of the most damaging
words in our language.

To quote her:

Every time we use it, we are, in effect, saying that we are wrong,
or we were wrong, or we’re going to be wrong.  I would like to take
the word should out of our vocabulary forever, and replace it with
the word could.  This word gives us a choice, and then we’re never
wrong.

Think of five things that you ‘should’ do.  Then replace should with
could.

Wow.

I actually tried it when I caught myself should-ing and immediately
replaced it with could.

Wow again.

Should feels limiting, judgemental.

Could feels open, limitless.

Try it and see what you think.

I just watched this movie on Sunday and I feel as if it’s
already having an incredible impact.

Every single concern I have can be turned into an affirmation.
Well actually my concerns are affirmations they are just not
what I am *intending* to affirm.

I just had this moment in the kitchen. One of those ‘what if’
moments – fearful kind. I just stopped myself and stated:

everything will unfold perfectly.

Within a couple of minutes I check my email in my office
and everything actually did unfold perfectly.

Louise Hay talks about this in the film, doing the affirmations
and tiny miracles appearing. They may not happen overnight
but happen they do.

I’ve been working on creative projects that I was initially so
excited about and then began to experience huge doubt.
Using the affirmations again turned around my doubt; and,
just in the last 24 hours I’ve gotten some very positive
responses to this project.

So easy, so simple.

It is living with intention.

Watching disc two now of this movie, this section
is available only in the expanded version of the
movie. It contains further and extensive interviews
with the spiritual teachers that are in the final cut of
this film.

Louise Hay said an affirmation that just felt like the
mother lode of all affirmations:

only good lies before me.

Can you imagine if you said that every day, several
times a day, what a vibe lift that is?! Incredible how
stringing a few simple words together can bring forth
a feeling that has such potential to work good things
in our lives. Yum!

And finally I found something that Dr. Christiane Northrup
said that is really profound for women. She is an author,
most notably for Women’s Bodies, Women’s Wisdom.

Here is what she said:

Every time a women is in her power, she upgrades
everyone and everything around her…

Whenever a woman gets healthier and happier
she heals the earth.

The woman’s body is the reflection of the earth
and everything we do to take care of ourselves
to feel pleasure, to be orgasmically joyous,
heals the entire planet.

Just beautiful!! I’m still working my way thru disc 2
of this movie – I’ll be back if I find anymore gems.

only good lies before me — Louise Hay
