If you haven’t been able to check in on this inaugural free global online event at Hay House, there’s still time, it lasts through June 10th.  The day’s speakers will be available for just under 24 hours.  This is a phenomenal opportunity, but don’t fret if you can’t listen in, at least for today, the Bethie fairy has transcribed some more highlights for you.

Marianne Williamson speaks on what A Course in Miracles has taught her:

“…the door to peace lay in my forgiveness and love and reaching out in compassion to the person in front of me.  This is not about belief, but experience and I would only experience the peace of God to the extent to which I sought to be an element of peace in the lives of others.  When you know every thought of attack towards anyone is a sword that is dropping on your own head, and when you know that your willingness to see the innocence in another person, then therein lies your capacity to experience your own innocence.”

Jack Canfield was also a speaker, and for all of you writers, I heard him recount that his “Chicken Soup for the Soul” was rejected 143 times!  The whole series has been read now by more than a half a billion people!

Dr. Robert Holden

“Dear God, help me see the truth about myself, no matter how beautiful it is.”   (Love!)

Alan Cohen

“De-pression means there is something pressing in on you.  The best cure I know for de-pression is EX-pression.  You cannot be depressing and expressing at the same time.  If you can take that energy that is pressing in on you and gracefully re-direct it to bring it forth and press it out, then you are taking the same power that was working against you and you are making it your friend; it becomes your ally.”

Gay Hendricks

“Anytime we say things to ourselves or to others, that we don’t have time for that, we are making ourselves a victim of time   The big discovery I made is that I am the source of time and I can make up as much as I want to do the things i want to do.  The reason that works that way is because I quit thinking of myself as the victim of time.  I realized suddenly if I wasn’t speaking as the victim of time, wait a minute! … the other possibility was that maybe I was connected to the source of time!  I realized if I just completely let go and just owned my connection with the source of time, I could make up as much as I wanted to do whatever I wanted to do with it.”  (Wow, what a brilliant concept and so simple.  No maybes about it, if we are connected to Source, then we are connected to it’s unlimited supply!  Read below for a really nice dovetail on this point.)

James F. Twyman

“For most Law of Attraction techniques the foundation is the statement – I want, as opposed to the statement – I Am.  We know that I Am is the name of God, this is the presence of the Divine.  I Am that.  It’s not something that I want.  It’s not something that I hope to have someday.  I already Am because I Am claiming the authority and the divinity of my Creator which is, of course, All things.  When you look at the statement I want, obviously there is something behind that, the sponsoring thought, which is – I don’t have it already.  It’s not something I have that’s in my energy field.  But the statement – I Am, what it does is, it creates an energy field, it creates a magnetic force that is a thousand times more powerful.”

James Twyman, as he continues to comment on the idea of oneness, I Am-ness:

“How do we allow a concept to become a real force in our lives?  That’s such a good question and there’s no real easy answer because it’s not something that we can do, but it is something that we can undo.  Maybe that’s the best way to say it.  Undo this delusion that we have created, that we are separate, vulnerable, alone, that we are here to fight and survive that our physical existence is who we really are, to undo that belief.  …I realize that every moment is an opportunity, right in front of me, to see the truth, to experience oneness or to see the Beloved as I call it.”

I’ve learned through many a New Age modality that where we place our focus is not just relevant but it also has a creative aspect in our lives.  Yet when I’ve found myself down the rabbit hole, it often feels like a spiral quite difficult to remove myself from.  There’s lots of reasons for this, part habitual but also there’s a whole range of neuro-chemicals that flood the brain once we attach ourselves to a series of thoughts and its attendant feelings.  This is one of the reasons why it can be difficult to get out of a cycle of fear, anxiety, depression, guilt, etc.

A former mentor of mine was quite gifted at what he dubbed “the alarm clock” method.  It’s a question you ask someone who is suffering in unwanted thoughts and feelings.  The question is designed to wake someone up out of the cycle of emotional pain.  The question, however, is unique to each individual’s experience.  But recently a friend of mine reminded me about self-inquiry that can also replicate this alarm clock method, so I can wake myself up.  She shared a process from Mooji; his videos can be found on youtube.  The question to ask yourself is: “who says this, who is witnessing this?”, “who is witnessing the witness?”.

I decided to try that process on.  I went to the eye doctor for a corneal abrasion I currently have.  I am loathe to have someone messing with my eyeball.  Pelvic exams, no problem but mess with my eyeball and instant fear ensues.  So, I’m in the chair at the doctor’s office, having my eye examined.  I can feel that I am holding my breath and tensing my muscles.  My first response was to tell myself to breathe and relax my muscles.  I call that the band-aid approach.

But, wait, I just learned a new tool!   I asked myself – who is having this experience?  Boom, the alarm clock went off and the whole process shifted.  Neuro-chemicals dissipated, my body relaxed and I began to breathe freely on my own.  All it took was a moment of choice which allowed me to step out of the immersed, trance-inducing state of mind.

I’ve repeated this question many times since – who is having this experience?  It’s worked every time.  I’ve also used it while suspended in a moment of pure joy and let me tell you, that just sent wave upon wave of goosebumps through me.  Talk about milking and savoring the moment!

Consider trying the question on yourself.  I’d love to hear how it went for you.  Also, if you have a favorite alarm clock method, please do share that, too.

I am currently reading an older metaphysical/new thought book
from 1954, by U.S. Andersen.  It’s entitled Three Magic Words.
He suggests repeating the words, I’ve appended below, after
a daily 10 minute period of stillness and when you have entered
a calm and peaceful place, and only then.  For you eft tappers,
this could also be turned into an eft script.

It’s really quite beautiful, note the language: law of attraction,
as you get further into it.  He also had some exposure to
Ernest Holmes and Holmes also used that terminology.

“I know that I am pure spirit, that I always have been,
and that I always will be.  There is inside me a place of
confidence and quietness and security where all things
are known and understood.  This is the Universal Mind,
God, of which I am a part and which responds to me as I
ask of it.  This universal mind knows the answer to all of
my problems, and even now the answers are speeding
their way to me.  I needn’t struggle for them; I needn’t
worry or strive for them.  When the time comes, the
answers will be there.  I give my problems to the great mind
of God; I let go of them, confident that the correct answers
will return to me when they are needed.  Through the
great law of attraction, everything in life that I need
for my work and fulfillment will come to me.  It is not
necessary that I strain about this, only believe.  For in
the strength of my belief, my faith will make it so.  I
see the hand of divine intelligence all about me, in
the flower, the tree, the brook, the meadow.  I know that
the intelligence that created all these things is in me and
around me and that I can call upon it for my slightest
need.  I know that my body is a manifestation of pure
spirit and that spirit is perfect; therefore my body is
perfect also.  I enjoy life, for each day brings a constant
demonstration of the power and wonder of the universe and
myself.  I am confident.  I am serene.  I am sure.  No matter
what obstacle or undesirable circumstance crosses my
path, I refuse to accept it, for it is nothing but illusion.
There can be no obstacle or undesirable circumstance to
the mind of God, which is in me, and around me, and
serves me now.”

breathing-colour-into-life_photo5_mb

The thing I like most about waking up in the middle of the night is choosing then to spend time consciously creating my next day.  Last night laying there, I thought about my day and how I would like to feel during the day.  I began to breathe consciously and then silently say: I breathe life into ease, for instance.  And then I’d stop and feel the body sense of what ease would feel like and stay there long enough to feel how good it feels.  And then I went on to silently repeat: I breathe life into contentment.  And again I’d pause and feel what contentment feels like in the body, I’d practice in my mind’s eye walking around wearing contentment.  One thing led to the next and it began a whole series of “I breathe life into….”  It was the most delicious experience.

Today, what I am experiencing is exactly what I breathed life into.  I think I’ll try this whenever I wake up during the night, it will give me something to look forward to.  Oh goodie, I’m awake, time to play with my new process :).  And before you know it, I’m back asleep and the me who wakes up is the one I befriended during the night.  Just another way I make my inner world a friendly place to be.  The world cannot help but reflect that back.

calm-before-storm-12

About a year ago, on the Abe cruise I heard them explain that
the vortex is the “eye of the storm”.   The eye of the hurricane.
My interpretation of what that means: it’s the calm, knowing
place.  So in a vibrational sense the vortex is that place where
manifestation has already happened.  By getting in the vortex, you
become the one vibrationally who is already living your dreams.

I’m including an Abraham quote below on the vortex and following
that are my comments again:

“The Universe has 10 or 20 or 30 or 40 or 50 or 100 or a thousand
options lined up to accommodate you and what you want.  You just
have to get in the vortex.  You have to tell the story of what you want
until you do not have a vibrational difference between the story that
you are offering and the story of what’s in the vortex.  You’ve got to
find the vibrational essence of what you are looking for and when you
do, it must come to you, it cannot defy you, it cannot be denied you,
it must come, it is Law, you see.  {…}  We want you to get in the vortex
not because you have to get there for the stuff to manifest.  We want
you to get into the vortex because it feels so good in the vortex.
Knowing feels so much better than not knowing.  Knowledge of what
you desire is delicious while doubting is contradiction of who you are.”

Abraham ~ Denver, CO 7/12/08 Track 5

I love this quote for many reasons but especially because it says something
that is often glossed over: “We want you to get in the vortex not because you
have to get there for the stuff to manifest.  We want you to get into the vortex
because it feels so good in the vortex”.   Any getting in the vortex to try to figure
out how to get your stuff, any scheming, any chasing after is meddling in step 2
which is the job of Universe/Source/God/Field.

Why does stuff manifest better than you could imagine it?  Because the Universe
operates with a greater resourcefulness than you could ever possibly imagine.
The same Universe that is orchestrating an untold number of complex processes
in your body right this moment.  The same U that has coordinated these countless
processes to work in concert with each other.  And that’s not even the tip of the
iceberg of the resources of the Universe.  The locally focused “I”, does not have
these resources – that’s why it’s not our job to do anything with an agenda of making
it happen.  We have only one job and that’s to go there in the vortex.  Be it.  Know it.  Have it.

creativity1

I don’t know if I would use the word necessary
but I would say it’s inevitable.
It comes with the territory
of free will and the freedom to choose.

and it doesn’t have to be a bad thing,
it could be a clarifying thing
where you define more and more
what it is you really want to let in.

Two sides, same coin.
You could call it the buffer of time,
you could call it Abe’s data collecting side trip
or the holy creative space
of honing your true ever changing,
ever expanding desires.

Holy creative space…hmmm,
I think I like that alot.

intentionmandala300

I wake up in the morning and I consciously create my day the way I want it to happen. Now sometimes, because my mind is examining all the things that I need to get done, it takes me a little bit to settle down and get to the point of where I’m actually intentionally creating my day. But here’s the thing: When I create my day and out of nowhere little things happen that are so unexplainable, I know that they are the process or the result of my creation. And the more I do that, the more I build a neural net in my brain that I accept that that’s possible. (This) gives me the power and the incentive to do it the next day.

So if we’re consciously designing our destiny, and if we’re consciously from a spiritual standpoint throwing in with the idea that our thoughts can affect our reality or affect our life — because reality equals life — then I have this little pact that I have when I create my day. I say, I’m taking this time to create my day and I’m infecting the quantum field. Now if (it) is in fact the observer’s watching me the whole time that I’m doing this and there is a spiritual aspect to myself, then show me a sign today that you paid attention to any one of these things that I created, and bring them in a way that I won’t expect, so I’m as surprised at my ability to be able to experience these things. And make it so that I have no doubt that it’s come from you, and so I live my life, in a sense, all day long thinking about being a genius or thinking about being the glory and the power of God or thinking about being unconditional love.

I’ll use living as a genius, for example. And as I do that during parts of the day, I’ll have thoughts that are so amazing, that cause a chill in my physical body, that have come from nowhere. But then I remember that that thought has an associated energy that’s produced an effect in my physical body. Now that’s a subjective experience, but the truth is is that I don’t think that unless I was creating my day to have unlimited thought, that that thought would come.
