A dash of rain upon
The lotus leaves. But the leaves
Remain unmarked, no matter
How hard the raindrops beat.
Mind, be like the lotus leaves,
Unstained by the world.

Yes, mind be like the lotus leaves, untainted by outer events. As in the lotus leaf, rooted, grounded in the consciousness of God. Only this moment now.

That hail is always so temporary though, literally and metaphorically. We’ve been graced with a few leaf buds showing through on a few trees, though temps are slightly below normal right now. This time last year cherry blossoms abounded pretty much everywhere in the PNW. MWAH!
How simply, stunningly beautiful. Thanks for sharing, Beth.
Thank you, too, as always, Susan.
