Once a painful concept is met with
understanding, the next time it appears
you may find it interesting.  What
used to be the nightmare is now just
interesting.  The next time it appears,
you may find it funny.  The next time,
you may not even notice it.  This is the
power of loving what is.

Today I am choosing a quote from Emmanuel.  I’ve fallen in love with Emmanuel this year.  I heard the name several years ago when I wrote down a quote I saw at the Kripalu Yoga Center, one of my favorite places to go when I was closer to the East Coast.

Really I thought Emmanuel was some old cool dead person like Rumi.  Then I found out that Emmanuel is channeled by Pat Rodegast and like Abraham, is still actively channeling.  They actually seem as if they may be from the same family of teachers.

So here Emmanuel is talking about perfectionism.  All you perfectionists out there, you know who you are :)  Me, I haven’t got a drop of perfectionism in me, so I don’t even know why I’m posting this quote.  Ouch!!  My pants are on fire :)  Excuse me while I get some water!

Here’s the thing: I’ve been saying I’m here for spiritual growth like forever.  Yes Abe, I know you say we came for joy, my joy juice is in the growth.  The thing about growth, if the goal is perfection, as in static, done…well, then there is no more growth.  So why the heck would I ever seek perfectionism?!  Well, I did it to please a certain someone, I wanted their love.  That certain someone croaked quite awhile ago … the hoops for me to jump through, they were gone, too.  I put up some new hoops to jump through, I was used to hoop jumping, I was good at it, darn good at it :)  Guess what?  I hereby gratefully and lovingly take down all hoops, you once have served me, now you no longer do.  And if I happen to create anymore hoops, I’ll tap on them and I won’t be needing any dance shoes for that :)  all you EFT’ers know what I’m talking about.  Good day to you all!  Beth

To insist on perfection precludes growth.
To accept imperfection as part of your humanness
is to grow.
If you can love the part of you that you think
is imperfect.
then the act of transformation can begin.
When you judge it and throw it out of your heart
it becomes a hardened shell that blocks the Light.

If you deny what is your nature
you become deeply attached to that denial.
When you accept what is there, in its truth,
then you are released.
One does not release through rejection.
One releases through love.
