Good morning all you beautiful souls.  I hope you had a chance to read ‘I have saved all your kindnesses’ and my follow up with ‘The Box’ yesterday.  If all there ever really is – is Light & Love, then what is left when all is said and done but every loving kindness you’ve ever given, every loving thought you’ve ever had.  No one is saving the rest, no one is taking score, except occasionally ourselves.  When I imagined opening a box that contained every loving kindness I’ve ever given and every loving thought I’d ever had, I was overwhelmed by it and felt such huge grace that nothing else was left but Love, that I literally wept a mixture of joy and relief.

So my lovelies, I leave you on this bright autumn Pacific coast morning with a little Rumi, he is ‘essential’ after all :).  With light and love, Beth

THE WAY WINGS SHOULD

What will
our children do in the morning?
Will they wake with their hearts wanting to play,
the way wings
should?

Will they have dreamed the needed flights and gathered
the strength from the planets that all men and women need to balance
the wonderful charms of
the earth

so that her power and beauty does not make us forget our own?

I know all about the ways of the heart – how it wants to be alive.

Love so needs to love
that it will endure almost anything, even abuse,
just to flicker for a moment.  But the sky’s mouth is kind,
its song will never hurt you, for I
sing those words.

What will our children do in the morning
if they do not see us
fly?

The Box

What if you came to your doorstep today
and discovered a box left there with your name on it.

It didn’t have any markings on it
save for your name.

With curiosity, you open it.
Inside is every kindness you’ve ever given
every loving thought you’ve ever had.

What memories would flood you
in that moment?
How would you feel?
Who would you be?

How can you who are so holy suffer?
All your past except its beauty is gone,
and nothing is left but a blessing.
I have saved all your kindnesses
and every loving thought you ever had…
They are beyond destruction and beyond guilt.
They came from the Holy Spirit within you,
and we know what God creates is eternal.
You can indeed depart in peace
because I have loved you as I loved myself.
You go with my blessing and for my blessing.
Hold it and share it, that it may always be ours.
I place the peace of God in your heart
and in your hands, to hold and share.
The heart is pure to hold it,
and the hands are strong to give it.

 ~ It’s all about cookies ~

You understand the game of inclusion relative
to some things.

Pretend that you’re standing in front of a cookie
counter, and there are many kinds of cookies there —
just about every kind you’ve ever heard of is
represented in this magnificent bakery.

When you stand there, inclusion comes natural to you
doesn’t it. You say, ‘Well I’d like one of those and
I’d like one of those.’ You don’t say, ‘Oh, look at
those icky peanut butter cookies.’ You don’t say,
‘I worry that those peanut butter cookies are going
to take over the counter.’ You don’t say, ‘We’d
better get rid of those peanut butter cookies because
you know how they spread. If we don’t nip it in the
bud, they will take over.’

In other words, you don’t play the game of exclusion
when you’re talking about cookies, and what we would
like you to understand is it’s all about cookies.

You live in a land of contrast because contrast is
essential to decision. But if you will become includers
of what you do want rather than excluders of what you
don’t want, you’ll purify [not contradict] your Energy.
And when you begin to line up your Energy, you will be
amazed at how fast the Universe responds to you.

Instant manifestations will become a daily occurrence
for you when you, yourself, are not contradicting your
own vibrational desires.”

Do not worship it.
When I remind you to choose Love,
I am saying to take off your blindfolds
remove your costumes,
unwrap the shrouds that have kept you distant,
lonely and in pain,
and be present in this moment.
Choosing Love is saying yes to life.
Fear would advise you to say no.
You are faced with a choice.
“Are there no other alternatives?” you ask

Fundamentally there are no others.
Your choice is between illusion and truth.
There is no particular formula for choosing.
There is only your intent.  Will that be enough?
It will be enough to start you on your way.

Keep asking yourselves, “Am I here now?”
Just that question
will make enormous changes in your lives.
If you ask it experientially
rather than philosophically,
you will find that it becomes a mantra
that will bring you back,
breath by breath, to this time, to this place,
for in truth there is no other.

As you set yourself free from your histories,
you will wear your costumes more lightly;
you will smile much more than usual,
and you will release your hearts
to the point where you begin to trust them.
You will, in short,
let yourselves out of prison, bar by bar.

Fear is a habit.
As you recognize it,
you will be able to loosen the viselike grip —
not that fear has upon you —
but that you have upon fear.

Fear will go away
once you give it permission
to leave.

The nature of despair is not really who you are.
I am not going to talk you out of it.
I would, if I could, talk you into it.
Despair, pain and grief are held to be unpleasant
and thoroughly undesirable.
Dearest friend, take the lighted candle
of your own faith, and enter completely
into your despair.
Be there. Look around.
Let your self-remembering light that cavern,
demanding nothing, expecting nothing.
Rather than push away your despair,
just say yes to it.
If you are in your despair, an Angel is there.
If you say yes to your pain,
then that pain is filled with Love.
This is not something to think or merely perform.
It is something to be.
Say yes in that despair filled moment
when you are able,
and with your next breath say yes again.
Let the breath that follows also be a yes.
And, if you are willing to allow
the structure of despair to alter,
you will observe it beginning to change.
You are in no danger.
