I am currently reading an older metaphysical/new thought book
from 1954, by U.S. Andersen.  It’s entitled Three Magic Words.
He suggests repeating the words, I’ve appended below, after
a daily 10 minute period of stillness and when you have entered
a calm and peaceful place, and only then.  For you eft tappers,
this could also be turned into an eft script.

It’s really quite beautiful, note the language: law of attraction,
as you get further into it.  He also had some exposure to
Ernest Holmes and Holmes also used that terminology.

“I know that I am pure spirit, that I always have been,
and that I always will be.  There is inside me a place of
confidence and quietness and security where all things
are known and understood.  This is the Universal Mind,
God, of which I am a part and which responds to me as I
ask of it.  This universal mind knows the answer to all of
my problems, and even now the answers are speeding
their way to me.  I needn’t struggle for them; I needn’t
worry or strive for them.  When the time comes, the
answers will be there.  I give my problems to the great mind
of God; I let go of them, confident that the correct answers
will return to me when they are needed.  Through the
great law of attraction, everything in life that I need
for my work and fulfillment will come to me.  It is not
necessary that I strain about this, only believe.  For in
the strength of my belief, my faith will make it so.  I
see the hand of divine intelligence all about me, in
the flower, the tree, the brook, the meadow.  I know that
the intelligence that created all these things is in me and
around me and that I can call upon it for my slightest
need.  I know that my body is a manifestation of pure
spirit and that spirit is perfect; therefore my body is
perfect also.  I enjoy life, for each day brings a constant
demonstration of the power and wonder of the universe and
myself.  I am confident.  I am serene.  I am sure.  No matter
what obstacle or undesirable circumstance crosses my
path, I refuse to accept it, for it is nothing but illusion.
There can be no obstacle or undesirable circumstance to
the mind of God, which is in me, and around me, and
serves me now.”

The thing I like most about waking up in the middle of the night is choosing then to spend time consciously creating my next day.  Last night laying there, I thought about my day and how I would like to feel during the day.  I began to breathe consciously and then silently say: I breathe life into ease, for instance.  And then I’d stop and feel the body sense of what ease would feel like and stay there long enough to feel how good it feels.  And then I went on to silently repeat: I breathe life into contentment.  And again I’d pause and feel what contentment feels like in the body, I’d practice in my mind’s eye walking around wearing contentment.  One thing led to the next and it began a whole series of “I breathe life into….”  It was the most delicious experience.

Today, what I am experiencing is exactly what I breathed life into.  I think I’ll try this whenever I wake up during the night, it will give me something to look forward to.  Oh goodie, I’m awake, time to play with my new process :).  And before you know it, I’m back asleep and the me who wakes up is the one I befriended during the night.  Just another way I make my inner world a friendly place to be.  The world cannot help but reflect that back.

About a year ago, on the Abe cruise I heard them explain that
the vortex is the “eye of the storm”.   The eye of the hurricane.
My interpretation of what that means: it’s the calm, knowing
place.  So in a vibrational sense the vortex is that place where
manifestation has already happened.  By getting in the vortex, you
become the one vibrationally who is already living your dreams.

I’m including an Abraham quote below on the vortex and following
that are my comments again:

“The Universe has 10 or 20 or 30 or 40 or 50 or 100 or a thousand
options lined up to accommodate you and what you want.  You just
have to get in the vortex.  You have to tell the story of what you want
until you do not have a vibrational difference between the story that
you are offering and the story of what’s in the vortex.  You’ve got to
find the vibrational essence of what you are looking for and when you
do, it must come to you, it cannot defy you, it cannot be denied you,
it must come, it is Law, you see.  {…}  We want you to get in the vortex
not because you have to get there for the stuff to manifest.  We want
you to get into the vortex because it feels so good in the vortex.
Knowing feels so much better than not knowing.  Knowledge of what
you desire is delicious while doubting is contradiction of who you are.”

I love this quote for many reasons but especially because it says something
that is often glossed over: “We want you to get in the vortex not because you
have to get there for the stuff to manifest.  We want you to get into the vortex
because it feels so good in the vortex”.   Any getting in the vortex to try to figure
out how to get your stuff, any scheming, any chasing after is meddling in step 2
which is the job of Universe/Source/God/Field.

Why does stuff manifest better than you could imagine it?  Because the Universe
operates with a greater resourcefulness than you could ever possibly imagine.
The same Universe that is orchestrating an untold number of complex processes
in your body right this moment.  The same U that has coordinated these countless
processes to work in concert with each other.  And that’s not even the tip of the
iceberg of the resources of the Universe.  The locally focused “I”, does not have
these resources – that’s why it’s not our job to do anything with an agenda of making
it happen.  We have only one job and that’s to go there in the vortex.  Be it.  Know it.  Have it.

I wake up in the morning and I consciously create my day the way I want it to happen. Now sometimes, because my mind is examining all the things that I need to get done, it takes me a little bit to settle down and get to the point of where I’m actually intentionally creating my day. But here’s the thing: When I create my day and out of nowhere little things happen that are so unexplainable, I know that they are the process or the result of my creation. And the more I do that, the more I build a neural net in my brain that I accept that that’s possible. (This) gives me the power and the incentive to do it the next day.

So if we’re consciously designing our destiny, and if we’re consciously from a spiritual standpoint throwing in with the idea that our thoughts can affect our reality or affect our life — because reality equals life — then I have this little pact that I have when I create my day. I say, I’m taking this time to create my day and I’m infecting the quantum field. Now if (it) is in fact the observer’s watching me the whole time that I’m doing this and there is a spiritual aspect to myself, then show me a sign today that you paid attention to any one of these things that I created, and bring them in a way that I won’t expect, so I’m as surprised at my ability to be able to experience these things. And make it so that I have no doubt that it’s come from you, and so I live my life, in a sense, all day long thinking about being a genius or thinking about being the glory and the power of God or thinking about being unconditional love.

I’ll use living as a genius, for example. And as I do that during parts of the day, I’ll have thoughts that are so amazing, that cause a chill in my physical body, that have come from nowhere. But then I remember that that thought has an associated energy that’s produced an effect in my physical body. Now that’s a subjective experience, but the truth is is that I don’t think that unless I was creating my day to have unlimited thought, that that thought would come.

I was so excited to actually run across a quote from one of Seth’s deleted sessions stating that God is not neutral. I include it below. Note that Ruburt is the name and male gender that Seth assigned Jane Roberts. Love, Bethie

He is quite correct: the universe is not neutral.

In the terms in which you understand the word, there is a God.

Obviously I am not speaking of a personification of a Superperson.

For that matter, in the terms of your language, and intellectual
concepts, you will probably have to take it for granted that you
cannot understand the nature of such a God.

You will know God’s actions, however, through the manifestations of
the universe.

That God is not simply neutral energy, for example.

The universe is supportive.

There is a force, if you prefer, that actively loves each individual,
each consciousness, and actively works to help that consciousness
attain the fulfillment inherent in its nature.

Despite all misinterpretations, therefore, the universe is caring, and
so is nature.

The impetus toward creativity is a loving one, and the natural
processes in both body and mind as lovingly directed.

The body even lovingly seeks to follow its own nature, and is lovingly
directed to do so…

…I realize you are not living in an ideal world, but we are giving
that world ideas that can vastly increase peoples’ understanding.”

It was in the midst of an email conversation with my good friend
Belle that I felt inspired to start a 30 day program.

What it entails is basically every time I have a ‘negative’
thought, I acknowledge it with one word: “distraction” and
then I move on.   This includes all concerns and all judgments
of any kind, towards myself, any condition or anyone else.
All they are, are distractions from whom I choose to be.
It’s amazing how much BS I am refusing to make a dance
partner out of.  Yesterday morning when I first woke up and my
mind was like a searchlight out to lock onto what might be
wrong, I probably said “distraction” a dozen times before I
moved on.

I am very focused on one thing in particular, besides just
general overall peace of mind, I really want to try not making
things mean anything.  I want to suspend drawing conclusions,
making assumptions, building a story.

I had this wonderful opportunity while in conflict with a close
family member to actually practice this, to just state it was a distraction
and not engage in what any of it meant.  As a result, within minutes the
whole situation completely turned around into a really beautiful exchange
with one another.  But if I’d let myself be pulled into what it all could mean,
I would have responded so differently and that heartfelt exchange may
not have taken place.

On Christmas day, I will celebrate my present to myself, a free and
clear Bethie who isn’t lost in a story of her own making and suffering
because of it.  I’m out to end suffering in the place I first experience it.
One person at a time.

It is a simple prayer that does not plead, beg or demand but already assumes it
is given.  And assumes it even perhaps in the face of no factual evidence of it.

What sort of gratitude is that?  It is the kind that is anchored in unwavering faith.
It is unwavering because it is not moved by outer appearances.  Inwardly you
have already become the one who has received and from that your gratitude wells
up naturally.  This gratitude for what has been received and faith in what is not
yet apparent to the senses becomes a spiritual union in consciousness.

At some point, it must then show up as fact in your outer experience.  It is law,
as Abraham would say.
